IPOH: A Perak Tengah district council administrative assistant told a corruption trial that she discarded the original copies of the minutes taken down during the council’s full board meetings.

Wan Nora Hasida Ngah, 26, whose duty is to prepare the minutes of each full board meeting, said during cross-examination Monday that she did not keep her handwritten notes after typing them out.

confusing records management practices....there should be a proper policy of records practices

few similar cases like this, previously in the government administration....something need to be done...use common record keeping practices or standard....

Use ISO - MS 223 for proper standard in record keeping practices in government administration....

lack of training to officer in charge of records is also a major problem... I believe many other officers like her are also kept in the dark....

urgent actions must be undertaken..as to fulfill people first performance now concept.....records imply accountability of actions and responsibility by officers in public offices...
